- How does online dating work?
Firstly you will need to set up a profile. Once setup this enables other members to see your profile and allows them to contact you when they have subscribed. In turn you will be able to contact other members as soon as you have subscribed.
- How safe is online dating?
Online dating with Distant Hearts is the same as any other type of dating. If you do decide to meet someone through Distant Hearts we recommend you use your common sense and only meet in public places. Make sure you dont feel pressured into doing anything you dont want to do.
- How much does it cost to subscribe?
We have four types of payment plans to choose from, 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months or 12 Months. Once you have set up a profile you can click on my accounts followed by clicking on upgrade packages for up to date pricing.
- How confidential is your personnel information?
We take this very seriously. No personnel information will be given out to other members or third parties under any circumstances. You are welcome to give out any of your personnel details, but Distant Hearts will not take any responsibility for this action.
- What about my photo?
Any photo used will be checked by us first before publishing onto the site. This is to make sure it complies with our rules. A photo will be rejected if it contains any obscene, illegal, offensive, abusive, racist, nudity or sexual content. It will also be rejected if the photo displays someone under the age of 18.
Your photo will be your profile picture , therefore it should be a photo of yourself. A photo maybe rejected if it is not clear enough or contains any personal details.
- Does my subscription automatically renew?
No, Once your choosen package has expired it will not automatically be renewed. When your membership package has expired you will revert back to a basic user. It is then down to you to choose one of our four packages and re-subscribe
PLEASE NOTE: None of your information will be lost in re-subscribing.
- How can I remove my profile?
If you wish to remove your profile from the Distant Hearts website. Please send an email stating that you wish to remove your profile by clicking on CONTACT US and selecting Feedback or Suggestions. We will then remove your profile and comfirm this by email.
- Can I change my password/username?
Yes, For passwords just go to MY ACCOUNTS and click on Change Password under My Settings.
For changing your username please send us an email stating that you wish to change this by clicking on CONTACT US and selecting Feedback or Suggestions. We will update this for you ASAP and confirm this by sending you an email.
- What to do if I have forgotten my username/password?
If you have forgotten you password, just click on LOGIN followed by forgotten password. Youll be prompted to type in your email address and a new password will be sent to you via email.
If you have forgotten your username, please send us an email stating that you have forgotten your username by clicking on CONTACT US and selecting Feedback or Suggestions. We will then inform you of your username via email.
